  1. Day 1 · Wednesday 9 December

    Sanyi and Taichung

    Ride a rail bike on the Old Mountain Line. At the Welcome Circle, meet your facilitator and receive your journal. Then a night market where your child chooses what Dad tries.

  2. Day 2 · Thursday 10 December

    Sun Moon Lake

    Cycle the lake, pitch a tent together and read Dad's letter under the stars.

  3. Day 3 · Friday 11 December

    Puli and Taipei

    Make paper by hand for your child's letter back to Dad.

  4. Day 4 · Saturday 12 December

    Taipei

    Your child plans the day. Sunset on Elephant Mountain, the first Fathers' Circle, then a milestone dinner.

  5. Day 5 · Sunday 13 December

    Shifen

    The second Fathers' Circle, then wishes on a sky lantern, weather permitting. Fly home that night.

Before you go

About two weeks before departure, families meet in Singapore for a pre-trip get-together. Each father writes a letter to his child at home, to be read on camp night.

Who is this trip for?

Fathers and father figures with a child who completed Primary 6 in 2026. Daughters and sons are both welcome.

How many places are there, and who can come?

The trip is limited to 8 fathers, each travelling with one child who completed Primary 6 in 2026. If your child has a twin, you may bring both. Chan Brothers Travel confirms availability and final eligibility after you register.

What if custody is shared?

If custody is shared, or a court order or agreement sets conditions, check it before you register. Chan Brothers Travel may ask for the other guardian's consent.

What does the fare include?

Accommodation, scheduled meals and activities as set out in the itinerary. Chan Brothers Travel confirms full inclusions, insurance and any extra fees before booking.

Do we need to camp?

Yes, for one night by Sun Moon Lake, with tent and bedding provided. Ask Chan Brothers Travel about any accessibility needs before booking.

Will my child explore Taipei alone?

No. Your child leads the day while Dad explores alongside them.

What happens if it rains?

Outdoor activities and the lantern release depend on the weather. The plan may change under Chan Brothers Travel's tour terms.
